The horizontal scroll discharge centrifuge is an automatic, continuous operation centrifuge combining concentration and filtration. The drum structure integrates a concentration (sedimentation separation) zone and a filtration separation zone, sharing a common discharge screw for automatic slag removal. Utilizing the centrifugal force of the high-speed rotation of the drum as the driving force, it first concentrates (sedimentation separation) and then filters, automatically and continuously completing the feeding, separation, washing, and slag removal processes.
Compared to ordinary horizontal screw discharge centrifuges, the horizontal screw discharge centrifuge has a wider range of applications, particularly suitable for separating suspensions of medium to coarse crystalline materials with low feed concentration. Specifically, it is suitable for separating suspensions with a solid content of 10-35%, an average solid particle size ≥0.05mm, and a temperature not exceeding 80℃, requiring stable feed concentration and uniform feeding. This machine features automatic continuous operation, continuous slag removal, high production capacity, low filter cake moisture content, low power consumption, compact structure, good corrosion resistance, stable operation, and low vibration. It can be widely used in chemical, light industry, pharmaceutical, food and other industries for solid-liquid separation and dehydration of suspensions. It operates reliably.
The motor drives the main and auxiliary pulleys to rotate, causing the drum and pusher screw to rotate at high speed in the same direction. Simultaneously, due to the differential gear, the pusher screw maintains a stable differential speed leading the drum, thus generating a pushing action. The suspension is introduced into the centrifuge through the feed pipe, accelerated by the spiral distribution cone, and then enters the left sedimentation separation conical drum through the feed inlet for sedimentation separation (concentration). Under the strong centrifugal force, the solid phase adheres tightly to the inner wall of the left conical drum, forming a sediment layer, which is continuously pushed by the pusher screw into the right filtration separation conical drum. Most of the liquid phase overflows through the overflow port at the large end of the left conical drum, is collected by the casing, and discharged from the drain port. The sediment continuously pushed by the pusher screw into the right conical drum undergoes further filtration separation. As the sludge is continuously pushed towards the large end of the right-side drum by the pusher screw, under the increasing and powerful centrifugal force, most of the liquid phase remaining in the sludge is thrown out of the drum through the filter screen gaps and the filter holes on the right side of the drum body. It is collected in the casing and discharged from the drain port. The solid material retained by the filter screen forms a filter cake layer (material requiring washing is continuously washed with water through the washing pipe in the middle of the right-side drum). The dried filter cake is continuously pushed out of the drum from the large end of the right-side drum by the pusher screw and discharged from the sludge discharge port through the collection trough. This achieves an automatic and continuous separation, washing, dewatering, and discharging process.
